Entry-Level Cabinetry Shop Positions

Job Summary

Our shop is in need of entry level cabinetmakers with a desire to learn alongside our shop manager in a creative environment. Shop/woodworking experience is preferred, finishing experience is a plus. Ability to work well with others is essential, as are verbal communication skills. Training will be provided on unfamiliar machines.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Follow proper build techniques and tool procedures per the Mighty Roots’ shop 

• Assist with deliveries and stock accordingly (ability to lift 80 lbs) 

• Install hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, catches, trash pull-outs, and any other hardware associated with the project 

• Perform detail sand to all fabricated pieces 

• Communicate any tool/machine concerns to lead cabinetmaker/shop manager 

• Maintain clean shop and working environment 

• Communicate with lead cabinetmaker regarding any needed materials 

• Follow safety protocols

• Able to understand verbal and written instructions and envision all steps in assigned tasks
